Chewing Simulator

The Kois Center is committed to advancing dentistry through science. In addition to the advances in dentistry pioneered by Dr. John Kois, the Kois Center also performs independent research on a variety of products, providing targeted research that directly impacts daily practice. Our research department features a custom made mechanical fatigue (chewing simulator) for testing on new dental products, a custom made three-dimensional (3D) dynamic jaw tracking device for recording real-time mandibular movement. The research department does not have commercial financial support to avoid any conflict of interest and publish in refereed journals.
