About the Kois Center

“Enabling motivated dentists to achieve extraordinary levels, expanding knowledge and application skills in restorative dentistry.”

The Kois Center has achieved the reputation of being a top teaching center that attracts dentists from all over the world. The Center’s support network is one of the keys to its success and continued advancement in the pursuit of dental excellence. There are five main components of this support network: Staff, Mentors, Clinical Instructors, the Tribe, and the Kois Center Website.

The staff of Center is the backbone of the organization. Each member has unique talents and expertise that keep the Center organized and moving forward in a structured direction. Whether it be designing and maintaining the website, organizing and executing courses or  compiling the latest research, the Kois Center staff is constantly pursuing excellence for the company.

Prior to any course taken, each attendee is assigned a Mentor. Kois Center Mentor’s serve as liaisons for the participants before, during and after the course. Mentors assist participants with case presentations, clarify and answer any questions are a resource to consult with after the course.

Clinical Instructors are Mentors that have demonstrated an exceptional knowledge of the Kois Center’s principles and commitment to the Center’s advancement through their participation in mentoring courses. Each course has one CI that helps the mentors organize the student’s cases, assist during breakout sessions and answer questions in regards to the course.

The strength of the Center is the Tribe. Everyone who has attended one course, the Kois Center Staff, Recognized Specialists, Graduates, Mentors, Cis and Dr. Kois are all considered “The Tribe”. This structure gives the Center unique strengths because of its organization and common goal of advancing dentistry through excellence. Each member is an important part of the continued growth of the Center. The Kois Center has quickly become one of the leading educational centers in the world.

The website provides many valuable tools for all Kois members. On the website you can check course dates and availability, search for other members to contact, and download useful forms including Informed Consent Documents (ICD’s). As the website continues to evolve, members will find themselves benefiting from many additional features.

The heart of the center is a lecture room with space available for thirty-seven dentists. Each participant’s desk is individually climate controlled and allows plenty of personal space for didactic and simulated clinical aspects of the courses. All desks have USB charging stations and individual microphones. Live streaming of clinical procedures from the adjacent operatory uses the latest in 4K cameras and projector.

Commander Room

As a result of the overwhelming demand for Kois courses, the Kois Center has recently expanded. The Commander room is available for holding adjunct courses and dentists wishing to bring their staff to receive a team experience.

Portside Kafe'

The Center has its own restaurant- the Portside Kafe. Executive chef Jeffrey Kessenich was featured in a local magazine as one of the ‘hot’ Seattle chefs of 2014.
